GL Mapping

  • “Map my GL” section allows the user to map the GL code and GL description to the published COA’s L3 and L4 for each entity.

  • The mapping can be done by downloading the template, map the GL code and GL description and upload the template.

  • Also, once the GL mapping is done, the user will be provided with a preview of “COA Mapping” along with the GL code and GL description.

  • GL Codes and GL Description should be mapped to L3 and L4 line items.

  • If the GL codes and GL Description are not mapped, then the tool should throw an error which will be displayed in the preview section.

  • If there are any errors, then the user should be able to view the error line items alone using “View Errors” section.

  • Any change in the COA Master should also be reflected in the COA GL Mapping as well.

    • For ex: If the L3 value is changed from Plant & Equipment to Plant Purchase & Equipment, then this change should be reflected in the GL Mapping page for which a GL code is mapped.

  • Also, the user should be able to filter the data based on L3, L4, GL Code and GL Description.

COA Mapping Errors:

  • New GL codes not mapped.

  • GL codes mapped to L3-L4 line items which is no longer there in the COA master.
